It seems this blog is losing its primary target. Life @ INSEAD. I shouldn't forget that. THis is a blog for INSEADERS and INSEADERS wannabe. This week has been a bit hectic with some situtations runing out of control, but in the end i will save the day. So let me give you a brief description of the VIKING WEEK.
For those who don't know @ INSEAD some weeks are devoted to specific countries. 1 month ago we celebrated the Aussie week. THis week we are celebrating the Viking Week organised by the Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Estonia. The organizers have to raise money(the most difficult task) by finding willing sponsors and prepare activities throughout the week for the rest of us. IT is a pretty taxing endeavor especially when you are pressed for time. This specific week has been run by only 6 people, on the other hand the canadian DAY(yes only one day) will be run by about 15 people. Canadians grumbled that they are not enough to pull off a week. LIke Hallonman remarked. He understands why nordic countries ar ethe most productive in the world.
Before i start talking about what has happenned until now let Brutal facts give its kudos to the team who pulled it out. Hallonman, Line, Kart, Thale, Another swede and Anders(anders did u do anything?)
The week started by receiving a new name. It seems I am a norwegian shipping Magnate(i wish) plus one chocolate(or sth like that). At the end of the day the bad guys raided the amphi. Here is the video we were watching while they were presenting the week. They changed clothes according to the music.
It was fantastic, at one moment they were dressed as vkings and rampaging the amphi at the next they were sining ABBA songs.... I was amazed by their work. I think every1 agrees with this statement.
I missed the IKEA competition and the Nordic breakfast next day, so i cannot write about them. But there was no chance i would miss the winter olympics. Snow + singapore= ????????? At snow city we played for half an hour(we couldn't move after that) so we ended up eating chips and biscuits. i socialised with my marvelous classmates and ended up home after it.
On wednesday though they organised one of the best parites ever. We paid 30 euros(60 sing) and we had like 5 free drinks and a LOT of free food. we had our Viking helmets plus our friends. We danced, dranks, chatted and most important of all enjoyed ourselves. The day ended at MOS with the most of us. I cannot wait what else is waiting for me.
